New team, same mission

Four years ago, on National Coming Out Day and in response to a wave of book bans, ShopQueer.co launched. It was an LGBTQ+ bookstore dedicated to promoting and protecting queer authors.

Since then, Allstora has tried a lot of things: a big gay bookmobile, a rebrand, a celebrity partnership, a subscription box, and a lot more. Some of it worked perfectly, and some of it didn't. Despite the challenges, the foundation of promoting and protecting queer authors stayed constant.

Big Gay Co, the team behind The Little Gay Shop in Austin, Texas, is taking Allstora into its next chapter. They know how to build a mission-driven business and make it last.

Now they're bringing that to Allstora, with an even bigger community around the stories and people that deserve to be celebrated.

They've also handled our operations for the last few years, so if you've ever received an Allstora box, they're the ones who packed it.
