Description
3D Modeling is an important skillset for many Mechanical Engineers. Instead of lengthy explanations of how the CAD features operate, students will instead apply features and tools to build realistic product models while gaining deeper knowledge through repetition on later lessons. Eventually students will be at an "intermediate" level of CAD skill; knowing what features are available, how to use them, and how to troubleshoot their own models. Students will be able to work on their own designs, work for a company at an internship or early career design job, and be capable of producing models and detail drawings suitable for prototyping or manufacturing. At this skill level students will not be exposed to complex equation driven modeling, simulations, mechanisms, or detailed geometric tolerance drawings.

Student Reviews: "I did not feel overwhelmed when we had harder lessons that reuqired more work. I had never created a CAD drawing in my life and now I can!".
"It's a great introduction to CREO and engineering. Also provided a great baseline of information surrounding CAD and was genuinely enjoyable"
