Taba never asked to lead. No, he would rather follow the directions of someone much more qualified than him. Still...if no one was willing to step up, what choice did he have but to lead? With his friends, Queenie and Hush, behind him, there isn't any obstacle they can't overcome. Plus, with his ability to get the definite answer to anything he asks, victory is all but assured.

Queenie is unmatched in weaponry. From close quarters to ranged sniping, she has no peer. Well...apart from Taba and her brother, Hush. Still, the mission should have been simple: take out the Gatekeepers of Malapace and secure an easy win for the Family.

Hush could blame no one but himself. He was a fool to enhance his senses instead of Taba's or Queenie's. Now they were being brought into the damned city of Malapace for interrogation. Had Hush been more reliable...they wouldn't be such a hindrance to their Family.
