About the Author
Julie Gutin is a professional editor and writer with a BA in Spanish and Comparative Literature from Boston University. She was a volunteer teacher for the Boston Red Cross English as a second Language program, teaching English to native speakers of Spanish and Portuguese. She lives in New York City. Fernanda Ferreira, PhD, is a native speaker of Portuguese and has been teaching the language at the college level since 1993. She has completed a doctorate in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of New Mexico. Dr. Ferreira has been teaching at Bridgewater State University since 2001, where she is a tenured professor and former chair of the foreign languages department. Dr. Ferreira lives in Brockton, Massachusetts.
