Description

Step back in time to 1942 and immerse yourself in the gripping tale of "Freedom's Game." In the midst of Nazi-occupied northern France, the Annemasse orphanage stands as a beacon of hope for Jewish children like Ziggy and Elka, separated from their families amidst the chaos of war. As Ziggy arrives at the orphanage, uncertainty looms heavy in the air. With the threat of Nazi spies lurking around every corner, trust is a luxury they cannot afford. Yet amidst the shadows of fear, Ziggy finds solace in a newfound friendship with Elka and the enigmatic gym teacher, Georges Loinger. But as tensions rise and danger looms closer, Ziggy and Elka are faced with a harrowing question: Is Georges a savior leading them to safety in nearby Switzerland, or a traitor working for the enemy? With every twist and turn, "Freedom's Game" keeps you on the edge of your seat, exploring themes of courage, sacrifice, and the enduring resilience of hope. Inspired by real events, this captivating novel offers a poignant reminder of the power of friendship in the face of adversity. Experience the bravery of Ziggy, Elka, and their fellow orphans as they navigate a world torn apart by war.
