After a phone conference with my siblings a few years ago, we agreed on the necessity of sharing what life was like during our formative years. Peach Tree Switches was originally written only for my family. However, sharing these stories with my students during my years in education let me see their hunger for history. I hope they, and future generations, will appreciate the lessons learned as much as I enjoyed sharing. These are snippets from my perspective of home life and life in the community where I lived from the early 1950's to the early 1970's in South Arkansas.
