THOMPSON This book is lovingly dedicated to our family: My son, Dan and his wife Donna, my daughter Lori, and in loving memory of our daugh-ter, Brenda who died in 1991 and my precious wife, Joyce who died in 2015. My dear Joyce was responsible for this book. She loved to cook and also loved to collect recipes over the 62 years of our marriage. She was captivated by the Amish plain people and their love of good food. The recipes contained in this cookbook are ones gathered over the years from friends, relatives, magazines and newspapers. All of the recipes have been used many times and are family favorites. Joyce put together this book several years ago in three ring note-books and gave them to members of the family. The book became a cherished possession of our kids and grandkids. They have consist-ently referred to recipes being in the FAMILY COOKBOOK. It is my desire that you will fall in love with the wonderful selections that Joyce and I have collected with love. If you enjoy them half as much as we have it will be worth all the effort.
