In this book, I pay homage to my favorite pastime, collecting sports cards. After giving up the hobby during the "Junk Wax Era" in the late 1980s, I returned more than three decades later to one of my favorite childhood activities. A club is an association of people united by a common interest or goal. There are clubs devoted to hobbies, sports, social activities, politics and religions. Some clubs are private and some are open to the public. Unlike the fraternity and sorority social clubs at colleges and universities across the United States, the Sports Card Collectors Club does not give out membership bids.
