The last thing twenty-four year old introvert Emma Callahan ever thought she'd get caught up in is a murder investigation that leads her to a literary mystery. But then a crime in her West Village neighborhood connects Emma with Winnie, a friendly middle-aged neighbor who Emma has admired from afar for years. Emma soon learns that a tragedy lurks under the surface of Winnie's seemingly picturesque life: a book she wrote years ago was published without her permission, and she may soon be forced to sell her beloved house.
