Rhyland, a vampire leader, is tasked to uncover a prophecy and help save the world of Vampires. Enter Dani, a scientist who adopted and knows nothing about her true lineage, until Rhyland awakens things in Dani she never saw coming from a mystic light show with her hands, to the steamy fated bond between them, and best of all, she is the key to what plagues vampires. Also, she is the chosen one in this story, and for her to save the world, she goes on a series of Indiana Jones adventures while trying to elude a very dangerous evil villain. I loved every moment of this book; it took me a while due to life. Dani is an accurate spitfire of a girl who holds nothing back when she is pushed to the brink, even if talking to ancient vampires or guardians who are in her way. I think I found my new favorite sexy vampire tale, step aside Twilight, and let the Dark Awakening be here.

It's a modern vampire telling that's perfect. Dani our main gal is strong and able to hold her own. I wasn't left with all the issues of historical books going but did they wash it. I loved this book.
