Description

Haley and her brother, Max, are alone after their mother's death and are sent to Wayfair Academy, a special needs boarding school. Eventually, they find family amongst other deaf children. One night the group decides to dip their toes into crime... the thrill is too much to leave behind. They soon find out that stealing from the wrong person, has its consequences. With no one to turn to but each other, they must make a choice, one where no one comes out the same.

Critical Reviews

"A perfect example of how a diverse cast of characters can give creators new ways to tell interesting stories."--Evan Mullicane "Screen Rant"

"A beautiful, engaging story from start to finish. [...] You can tell this comic is close to the hearts of everyone involved. [...] Highly recommended to anyone interested in viewing the world through a fresh, different lens."--AJ O. Mason "Monkeys Fighting Robots"

"The story is great, and Sebela's writing is complemented beautifully by David Stoll's artwork to create a fascinating experience that grabs you right from the beginning. But what really makes this comic stand out is the characters."--Steven W. Alloway "Fanbase Press"

"Representation matters and the deaf community is often forgotten in comics. Sebela has crafted a wonderful story about a group of misunderstood youths forming an unconventional family. [...] A great read for anyone who knows what it's like to be lonely."--Larry Jorash "Comics Bookcase"

"There's no denying the skill, effort, and outright love that went into it. Well suited for teen readers and older, Pantomime starts out with an interesting premise and builds to a bit of a nail-biter [...]"-- "ThePullbox.com"

"Pantomime is different. That in itself is a great recommendation. [...] What sets it apart is the setting and the Characters represented. Characters who, other than being deaf, are just like any other children. They make friends, they make bad choices, and they have each other's backs."-- "Geek Vibes Nation"
