[Review Quote] ""Trauma therapist [Dr.] Harper unpacks the complexities of love and sex in this useful and charmingly profane self-help guide."" - Publisher's Weekly [Review Quote] ""Yes, it's a dating guide. But if it were just about dating, I would have put the book aside after maybe 20 pages...Harper writes about how dramatic experiences from our past can affect our relationships. 'Intimacy' here means not only sexual intimacy, but also trust and the ability to open up to other people...Harper's tone is honest, direct and entertaining, and includes lots of swearing! It's exciting to learn how our upbringing, society's religious values, our sexuality--and, perhaps, the stigma associated with it--as well as illness or disability, can shape our relationships...Even if you feel that everything is okay, you can get a lot out of this book--the importance of touch, for example, or even how to seriously doubt your self-doubt..."" - Julia Brummert, OX Fanzine [Review Quote (previous work)] "Faith is a hoot with heart, and her guide is full of workable, professional advice, as well as it is replete with sarcasm, good humor, and grace." - Foreword Reviews
