Description

We Can Be Kind: A Heartwarming Story of Kindness, Connection, and Compassion

In We Can Be Kind, Emmy Award-winning composer David Friedman and performer Christina Connors bring to life an inspiring story that goes beyond the pages of a traditional picture book. Based on Friedman's beloved song, this multi-sensory experience engages children and adults alike, making it a powerful tool for teaching kindness and compassion in everyday life. Through the adventures of Christina, Buddy, and the charming Love Bugs, young readers are guided to discover the transformative power of kindness-both in their actions and in their hearts.

We Can Be Kind is more than a story; it's a journey of connection for children and their families. Each page invites readers into a vibrant world where small acts of kindness ripple out to touch lives, reinforcing that even the simplest gestures can make a big difference. From helping a friend to sharing a toy or offering a kind word, the story shows children that kindness isn't about grand gestures-it's about the small choices we make every day.

With stunning illustrations that captivate young eyes and a warm, engaging narrative, We Can Be Kind also emphasizes the importance of modeling kindness. Children learn by observing those around them, which is why this book-and the accompanying Christina's Cottage YouTube series-focus on nurturing both children and their caregivers. By encouraging parents and caregivers to model kind behaviors, We Can Be Kind creates a foundation of compassion and empathy that children can carry throughout their lives.

Designed to foster open communication, deeper family connections, and a sense of emotional safety, We Can Be Kind resonates with families looking to teach values that will last a lifetime. Complemented by the Christina's Cottage YouTube series-a musical program supporting families through song and story-the book offers an ongoing journey that helps children understand and apply kindness, self-love, and emotional resilience in their everyday lives.

Perfect for fans of Have You Filled a Bucket Today? by Carol McCloud, The Rabbit Listened by Cori Doerrfeld, and Be Kind by Pat Zietlow Miller, We Can Be Kind is an essential addition to any family or classroom library.

Join Christina, Buddy, and the Love Bugs on this inspiring adventure, and let We Can Be Kind become a cherished part of your family's journey to a kinder world.

A Must-Have for Teaching Kids Empathy: The Magic of Small Acts in We Can Be Kind

We Can Be Kind is a beautifully crafted book that introduces children to the power of kindness in a way that is both engaging and heartfelt. Following the journey of Christina, her loyal dog Buddy, and the delightful Love Bugs, this story shows young readers how small, simple acts of kindness can create positive ripples in the world around them. Inspired by David Friedman's song We Can Be Kind, the book seamlessly blends story, music, and colorful illustrations, making it a truly immersive experience.

What I love most about this book is how accessible the message is-kindness is shown in everyday moments, like sharing a toy, offering a helping hand, or simply saying something nice. This makes it relatable for children and offers great talking points for parents and educators who want to encourage empathy and emotional awareness. The book's connection to the Christina's Cottage YouTube series is a bonus, giving kids a chance to dive deeper into themes of self-love and compassion through interactive videos. Overall, We Can Be Kind is not just a story-it's a valuable teaching tool that reminds kids that their actions matter, no matter how small. Highly recommended for classrooms and home libraries alike!

A Colorful Adventure in Kindness That's Fun to Read and Sing Along!

We Can Be Kind is such a fun and sweet book! I loved reading about Christina, her dog Buddy, and the cute little Love Bugs. They go on all these little adventures and find ways to be kind to people around them, like helping friends or sharing toys. It made me think of things I could do to make people happy, even if it's something really small.

The pictures are super colorful and fun to look at, and the story is easy to follow. I also liked that it has a song, which makes it feel like a big, happy story you can sing along with! And when I found out there's a YouTube series called Christina's Cottage that has more ideas about kindness and stuff, I got really excited to watch it. I think every kid should read We Can Be Kind because it shows you how to be nice to others-and that's pretty cool.
